Legal Department Ikorodu North LCDA
Protecting the Council and the Public Through Sound Legal Counsel.
The Legal Unit provides the legal backbone of Ikorodu North LCDA advising on issues, drafting agreements, and representing the council's interests in disputes and litigation reviewing every significant contract and legal decision before it's finalised to protect both council operations and the residents those decisions affect.
Vision
A council whose decisions and dealings stand on sound legal footing, protecting residents and public resources alike.
Mission
To provide sound legal counsel, protect the council's interests in disputes, and ensure agreements and decisions comply with the law.
1. Where We Are Now
The department currently provides legal advice to council executives and staff, drafts and reviews contracts and agreements, and manages litigation and dispute resolution on behalf of the council.
3. Where We Intend to Be
The department is working toward more proactive legal review processes for council contracts and policies, reducing dispute risk before it arises rather than only responding after the fact.
Legal Clarity on Council Matters
For legal matters involving the council, this department can provide guidance or direct you to the right process.
