About Works, Housing & Infrastructure
The Works, Housing and Infrastructure Department is responsible for the physical backbone of Ikorodu North LCDA. It focuses on
constructing, rehabilitating, and maintaining local infrastructure that residents rely on every day.
What We Do
1. Roads and Drainage
- Supporting the construction and maintenance of local access roads, culverts, and drainage channels
- Working to reduce flooding and improve connectivity between communities
2. Public Buildings and Facilities
- Maintaining Council buildings, offices, community halls, markets, and other public structures
- Supporting minor construction and rehabilitation projects under the LCDA’s jurisdiction
3. Technical Supervision and Project Management
- Providing engineering and technical input on infrastructure projects
- Supervising contractors to ensure projects meet quality, cost, and time standards
4. Infrastructure Planning Support
- Contributing to the identification of infrastructure needs at community level
- Collaborating with state agencies on larger infrastructure interventions within the LCDA
