About the Public Affairs Unit

The Public Affairs Unit is the voice of Ikorodu North LCDA. It is responsible for informing, engaging, and listening to the public, ensuring that residents understand what their government is doing and how they can benefit and participate.

What We Do

1. Information and Public Communication

  • Updating the public on Council policies, projects, programmes, and achievements
  • Using various platforms: traditional media, community outreach, and digital channels

2. Media Relations

  • Engaging with journalists and media houses
  • Issuing press statements, organising press briefings, and coordinating media coverage of Council events

3. Public Engagement and Feedback

  • Supporting town hall meetings, stakeholder forums, and community consultations
  • Encouraging residents to provide feedback, complaints, and suggestions through appropriate channels

4. Image and Reputation Management

  • Promoting a positive, accurate image of Ikorodu North LCDA as a responsible, people‑focused government
  • Highlighting success stories and development milestones
